At this week’s ITM textile machinery exhibition taking place in Istanbul (June 4-8), flat kntting leader Stoll is showcasing its latest Nocturno trend collection put together by its Fashion and Technology department in Reutlingen, Germany, taking its inspiration from facets of nocturnal life and introducing a range of technical advances.
Versatility in stitch size selection from the coarsest machine gauges to the finest E20 is emphasised, along with the latest knitting techniques such as FlexPly, introducing new dimensions in texture and structure and enabling lace-like optics and enhanced drape.
A range of seamless products redefine traditional knitwear shapes, offering a fresh perspective on garment construction, while designs realised with the Stoll knitrobotic system include garments enhanced with integrated coloured mirrors, as well as integrated closure magnets.
The opportunities arising from artificial intelligence (AI) for Stoll customers are highlighted by the company’s design team using current tools such as Midjourney and Adobe Firefly to illustrate how development times can be shortened, primarily as a result of the accelerated creation of artworks and the visualisation of product ideas.
