SGL Group concentrates carbon fibre production at two major sites
SGL Group focuses its production in Moses Lake, US, and Muir of Ord, UK, in order to further enhance the efficiency of its production network.

The production lines in Muir of Ord have been upgraded over the last two years to be capable of producing 24k carbon fibres, which have been manufactured solely in Evanston (Wyoming, USA) before.
Therefore, SGL Group has now decided to sell its carbon fibre production site in Evanston with around 50 employees to Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fibers & Composites Inc., a US-based subsidiary of Mitsubishi Rayon Corporation (MRC).
