ResMed is seeking to recruit an innovative Senior Textile Engineer to join their Research & Technology team in the Sleep and Respiratory Care division. You will research and develop technical textiles and manufacturing technologies and translate these technologies into innovative products. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in research and/or product development is a requirement for this position, ideally in the fashion, apparel, sports/activewear or footwear industry.

You will have in-depth knowledge of textile composition and mechanical behaviours of fibres, yarns, fabrics and foam with a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes (braiding, knitting, weaving, nonwovens), and secondary processes such as dyeing, printing, finishing, ultrasonic welding, bonding, lamination and coating.

You will design and engineer technical textiles, and directly apply it to product design concepts. You will have a passion for Design and Innovation.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a group of designers, engineers and inventors to develop design concepts into innovative products for mass production.
